Located in Frederick, Maryland, the Frederick Triathlon Club (FTC), serves as a support and social group for triathletes and multisport athletes of various abilities and ages in and around the Frederick area.  Club members assist each other in techniques, education, training, and equipment setup.

Meetings are monthly, usually the second Wednesday of the month, but this is variable depending on folks’ schedules, club activities, and speakers/guests that are invited to give presentations to the club.

The club logo is derived from the fact that Frederick is well-known for the “Clustered Spires” skyline of its historic downtown buildings. These spires are depicted on the city’s seal and many other city-affiliated logos and insignia.  In addition, as Frederick is in the state of Maryland, the background contains the state flag.  Finally, the club’s colors are red, black, and white.  And so the three triathlon symbols (swim, bike, run) are in white encompassed in red circles underneath black spires.

The club motto comes from the fact that though triathlon is an individual sport, the club members support each other in the pursuit of their goals and dreams.
